Terms of Service
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Telos mobile app and related services (collectively, the "Service") operated by Telos ("we", "us"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms.
Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old to use Telos. You are responsible for ensuring your use complies with applicable laws.
Your account
- You are responsible for activity under your account and for keeping your credentials secure.
- You must provide accurate account information and keep it up to date.
- You may not impersonate others or create accounts for abusive or fraudulent purposes.
Groups, actions, and peer review
Telos helps activist groups coordinate actions, submit evidence, and review contributions. Group founders and coordinators set rules for their groups. Peer reviews and reputation scores reflect community judgment within a group; they are not guarantees of truth or legal certification.
Your content
- You retain ownership of content you submit (including evidence, comments, and profile information).
- You grant us a license to host, store, display, and process your content as needed to operate the Service and make it available to other members in the relevant group context.
- You represent that you have the rights to submit your content and that it does not violate these Terms or applicable law.
Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Upload false, misleading, or fraudulent evidence.
- Harass, threaten, or abuse other users.
- Use the Service for spam, malware, or unauthorized commercial solicitation.
- Attempt to access accounts or data you are not authorized to access.
- Interfere with or disrupt the Service or its infrastructure.
- Use the Service in violation of any applicable law or regulation.
Moderation
Group founders and coordinators may remove members, reject submissions, and manage group settings. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or pose risk to users or the Service.
Third-party services
Telos may integrate with third-party services (such as Google Sign-In). Your use of those services is subject to their terms and policies.
Disclaimer
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR SECURE.
Limitation of liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, TELOS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF DATA, PROFITS, OR GOODWILL, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE.
Changes
We may modify these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Service after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms. We will update the "Last updated" date above.
Termination
You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms or if we discontinue the Service.
